The Evaluation of Quality of life index in rural areas (Case study: Miandeh Dehrstan of Fasa County)

Abstract

This paper amis to recognition and measurement of quality of life indicators in rural areas, Case study Miandeh rural district in Fasa township. The role of rural areas in the procedure of economic, social and political development is not deniable in various regional scales. The outcomes of inadequate attention to the concept of Quality of life in rural areas can cause several disorders such as: widespread poverty, growing inequality, rapid population growth, unemployment, migration, slums and the reason of noticing to rural development besides increasing the rate of quality of life of villagers can be the mentioned disorders.This research’s method is applicable, and considering the selected subject and its intended indicators, the approach of the study is descriptive-analytic. The required data of the research have been collected by using summarized questionnaire tool of WHO. The statistical population of the study is the residents of the rural district of Miandeh of Fasa township. The intended sample size was calculated 385 respondents by using Cochran’s formula. The selected members of the sample size were selected thorough random sampling proportional to the population of study area. The obtained results showed that the satisfaction rate besides the level of the residents quality of life of Miandeh are relatively high in terms of both mental and physical health and higher average. While, in terms of environmental health, social health and economic satisfaction the obtained scores, are lower than average which these results show low satisfaction. In addition, the assessments showed that significant correlation is observed between 5 dimensions. Ultimately, each one of these dimensions have the significant correlation with the ultimate satisfaction of the quality of life in the 99% confident level and generally the 5 mentioned dimensions are able to both explain and predict about 38 percent of satisfaction variances of quality of life in rural areas of Miandeh rural district.
